But is boosting a waste of money?
I got asked this exact question a month or so ago.
A client had heard on the grape vine that boosting was a waste of money. Lucky for her, she is always open to other ideas and was willing to listen to my point of view.
Briefly I went over the most immediate differences between ‘boosting’ and “ads manager”. Then we sat down and went through my ‘Ads Accelorator’ quiz. It asks you about your business model, product’s price point and target market, and then armed with all the info, I was able to explain which one would suit her business best.
Now she has some advertising goals and structure and was seeing results immediately. 4 sales and a wholesale enquiry, all from 1 x $60 boost.
PPC visitors are 50% more likely to make a purchase than organic visitors.
What is the difference between boosting and ads?
Facebook/Instagram ads offer a marketer far greater control than boosted posts. Unlike ads, boosted posts are more rigid and don’t offer as many options and freedoms.
So if ads offer so many more benefits, why do boosting at all?
By choosing to do boosting first, you can monitor your posts for a while and get some data to analyse, you’ll be able to learn what your audience prefers, how much money you to put toward your marketing budget, what the best duration you should run your ads for, and which goals you should pick to maximize your investment.
